A coil with 20 turns in square shape and 250 mm on a side, is mounted on a cylinder 150 mm in
lightning. The cylinder operates at a speed of 1200 rpm in a uniform field of 0.8 T. Find the maximum value of
voltage induced in the coil.

To solve this problem we will use the eq. 102-01, shown below.
We know that v = ω r and ω = 2π f. Note that to determine the length, L, of the coil wire, we must multiply the length of the rotor by 2, as with each turn of the coil it goes back and forth through the slot. And to find the total length of the wire, we multiply it by the number of turns. Thus, we have:
